Funding your studies
The Childcare Grant helps with childcare costs for children under 15, or under 17 if they have special educational needs. You can receive up to 85% of your childcare costs (maximum amount capped at £155.24 per week for one child, £266.15 per week for two or more children for 16/17 starters, and at £159.59 per week for one child, £273.60 per week for two or more children for 17/18 starters). Any money you get is paid on top of your student finance and you don't have to pay it back.
- you must be a full-time UK* student
- whether you qualify for a grant depends on your household income
- your child must be under 15, or under 17 if they have special educational needs
- your childcare provider must be registered

How to apply
Once you have made your online funding application to Student Finance England you should fill out form CCG1 and return it to Student Finance England, along with proof of your child's identity and financial dependence on you.
