Partnership Steering group

The Partnership Steering Group (PSG) meets termly and includes the membership of POG plus representatives from key schools/settings. It works as a strategic body to oversee and develop the partnership. It is designed to be a school led forum.

Dates of meetings for 2014/15:

  • 22 January 2015
  • 4 June 2015

All meetings are on Thursdays and start at 13.30pm.

School Experience 

School Experience A

There are two early induction days before the full time placement: Monday 29 September and Tuesday 30 September.  In the induction weeks beginning 6 and 13 of October, student teachers will be in school Monday to Thursday and will be at university on the Fridays.

The full time placement runs from 20 October to 19 December.

School Experience B

There are two induction days on Thursday 8 January and Thursday 15 January. The full time placement (including a 2 week induction period) starts on Monday 26 January and runs until Friday 8 May.

The School Experience B placement also includes a final two-week research project in school between 19 May and 5 June. During this time, the mast majority of trainees would have passed well and will not need to be on timetable.
