London Cycling Campaign are running a series of events promoting cycling at London Met.
Never ridden a bike before but want to try? Got a new bike and looking for advice? Ride a bit but wish you were more confident? Die-hard cyclist, but want to improve facilities at your uni?
We have something for all of you!
We will be visiting Holloway Road on 18th February and 6th March and Aldgate on 20th February and 7th March.
The first events on 18th and 20th February are smaller taster events, with a mechanic on hand for some quick repairs and a qualified cycle instructor for any questions you might have. We will then be back on 6th and 7th March with much more – two mechanics to make your old bike feel like new, and two cycle instructors who can dispense helpful advice and even take you for a quick ride to show you the ropes. We will have a range of bikes to try – from a nippy folder to an elegant city bike.
Best of all, we have free coffee to keep you warm whilst you plan your next ride!
If you want to learn to fix your own bike, try our lunchtime Bike Maintenance Talk – email email@example.com for more info.
Have a go at the bike parts quiz on our stall, or tweet or email us a photo with the caption ‘why I want to ride a bike’, for your chance to win prizes! We are also running a Bicycle User Group, so if you want to get involved in making cycling better get in touch.
