Cementing our relations with the City Liveries

Professor Stephen J Perkins with the Master Carman at the Freedom Ceremony

Date: 27/06/2014

Further cementing our relations with the City of London, its employers and institutions, on 26 June 2014 Faculty of Business and Law Dean, Professor Stephen J Perkins, was admitted to Freedom of the Worshipful Company of Carman. This livery company established almost five centuries ago plays a vital role as a charitable body with strong educational links, and as a place where those concerned with the thriving 21st century logistics business come together to celebrate their trade. For example, at the annual 'cart marking' ceremony in the courtyard of the City's Guildhall.

The Faculty of Business and Law at London Metropolitan University is developing, in partnership with heads of industry, a bespoke freight carriage logistics honours degree programme for 2015.
