Plastic Product Design and Manufacture

18th – 21st July 2011

Description

4 day short course for those who wish to gain better understanding of the common range of shaping processes used to manufacture plastics products.

Detailed Description

This 4 day short course is designed to satisfy the needs of graduates in science, engineering and technology, and others of a similar background working in product design and in research and development areas, who wish to gain better understanding of the common range of shaping processes used to manufacture plastics products. The course also covers a wide range of topics in product design to give participants the necessary knowledge and know how to design for performance and sustainability. Although delivery of the course is largely by means of formal lectures with clarifying examples, practical sessions are included to give participants a better understanding of the shaping processes.

This short course can be taken as part of an MSc Manufacture and Design for Polymer Products.

NB assessed post course assignment work can be undertaken by candidates who wish to extend the learning process The course is suitable for anybody wishing to learn about the injection moulding process, injection mould design, injection moulded polymer product design and related subjects.

This course awards a London Metropolitan Polymer Centre certificate of participation to each attendee. This course is recognised as an IoM3 accredited professional development activity.

Bookings:

There is a fee of £875.00 for this course.
