Alumni News and Publications
This section aims to provide basic information about the current work of students who undertook the Nutrition Politics & Policy module on the M.Sc. in Human Nutrition at London Metropolitan. It will also provide links to any publications by ex-students. The list is certainly incomplete, as we have lost contact with some former students. But it will be updated periodically as new information becomes available and as people change jobs.
Myriam Faure (07): is employed at Medical Research Council - Epidemiology Unit in Cambridge, specialised in anthropometry. Previously, she was a nutritionist with NaturHouse UK, Winchester. She writes regularly (in French) for a web nutrition magazine, www.mag-nutrition.com. And will next year publish a book on nutrition for general readers in France.
Anna Forster (08): works with the National Hydration Council in London
Dorothy Gazarwa (07): in now working in Bangladesh.
Lisa Hunt (07): is lead Dietitian for diabetes in St. Lucia.
Karishma Manwani (07): is Senior Liver Dietitian at King's College Hospital. She also works with Prof. David McCarthy in his weight loss clinic at London Metropolitan.
Kenneth Navti (08): is School Meals Support Officer for Brent Council in London, with specific responsibility shortly for three primary schools.
David Pell (08): works at Medical Research Council - Human Nutrition Research in Cambridge.
Sarah Sinclair (07): publications from her research are accessible under The School Fringe section of the Nutrition Policy Unit website. She is now Healthy Eating Manager with Shoreditch Spa in London.
Mohammed al-Sinani (08): now working at Al Buraimi Hospital, Sultanate of Oman. He has published Breast Feeding In Oman -The way forward in the Oman Medical Journal 2008, Vol 23 Issue 4 October 2008, in part based on his research at London Metropolitan.
