I joined the university in 2006 having worked for 10 years in child and family social work in various inner London local authorities. My most recent post was as a Child Protection Officer for the London Borough of Camden where I was also the strategic and practice lead officer for the development of the Children Abused through Sexual Exploitation project. I also worked in education in Thailand where I lived for 3 years. I was responsible for writing the Camden Area Child Protection Committee (now Camden Safeguarding Children Board) Child Sexual Exploitation protocols (2003) and have contributed to Child Abuse Reviews. My research interests are around sexually exploited children and neglect.
