Dr. Svetlana Stephenson

Svetlana Stephenson is a Senior Lecturer in Comparative Sociology. Her research has mainly involved studying disadvantaged social groups in Russia and their social organisation (street children and adult homeless people, child labourers and sex workers). She is currently working on a study of youth violent groups and gangs in Russia. She is the author of Crossing the Line. Vagrancy, Homelessness and Social Displacement in Russia, Ashgate, 2006.
