Do you want to be a STAR!?
Every course at London Met should have a Student Academic Representative or a StAR. They are students elected by their peers to represent the voice of student on that course. StARS sit on various committees at a course and departmental level. They give students a voice in the decision-making process. They take up concerns on behalf of student and provide feedback to the University.
Why you should become a StAR?
- You believe that students should have a say in the decisions that affect their experiences at London Met
- You believe that you should take an active part in your own education
- You are determined to leave London Met with more than just a degree
- Be part of the change to make London Met a better place to study
- Departmental StARS (1-3 per department) sit on the Student Council of the Students’ Union
How do I become a StAR?
Your Course Leader should inform your course about the StARS scheme at the start of the year and hold an election for your course to elect your StAR. Ask you Course Leader to run an election for your courses StAR.
The StARS scheme is run in partnership between Academic Departments, the Students’ Union and Student Services. For more information on the StARS scheme please contact:
