Computing Show 2010

Digital Toybox Success

The Vice Chancellor and Dean of the Faculty of Computing at the Digibox show

The FoC summer show of multimedia, animation and games projects by students and GameLab was a huge success. Pictured (left) at the opening launch party are the Dean of Computing, Professor Dominic Palmer-Brown and the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Malcolm Gillies, discussing a Second Life project with one of FoC's MSc students Lawal Muhammad (on the Digital Solutions E-Learning Technology course).

FoC would like to thank the co-ordinator, Fiona French, for all her hard work, the students for putting on such an excellent show, and ISS for their technical expertise. Fiona French expressed a special thank you to Cornell Coggins and Manfredo Meraviglia in particular, and thanks all the FoC staff who helped, provided showreels, marketing and publicity, getting posters printed and helped out during the event. Also thanks to Steve Blunt and Robert Matthews for taking photos and videos.
