Cass Architecture: Undergraduate studios

BA (Hons) Architecture RIBA Part 1

This year we have 10 undergraduate studios, and whilst Studio 2's Freddie Phillipson and Lucy Pritchard are on sabbatical, we welcomed Studio 11's Fergus Feilden and Ed Fowles. BA course leader Jane McAllister joined Torange Khonsari in Studio 10. We celebrate that Feilden Fowles Architects won the Young Architect of the year, whilst Studio 4 Cottrell and Vermeulen Architects won the Architect of the Year and the Education Architect of the year.

Studio 3 tutors Stefanie Rhodes and Tim Routh of Gatti Routh Rhodes, Studio 5's James Payne and Nina Lundvall (Archipelago Architects), Studio 8's Carver Haggard and Studio 11's Feilden Fowles are all featured in the Architecture Foundation book New Architects 3, together with many alumni of the School of Architecture.

"Our undergraduate architecture students are privileged to be taught by such highly regarded established and emerging practices. This year we also introduced a hands-on making workshop at Mudchute City Farm and many thanks go to our Technology Co-ordinators George Fereday and Sian Moxon for organising this, with great feedback from the students. We continue to receive excellent feedback from employers of our Part 1 graduates and my thanks go to the whole undergraduate team for their collective efforts and enthusiasm." Signy Svalastoga, Head of The Cass School of Architecture
