Ahmed Saleck

Ahmed Saleck from Mauritania discusses his experience of studying the Master of Public Administration (MPA) course at London Met, made possible by his Chevening scholarship.

What did receiving this scholarship mean to you?

It means a lot to me because it's changed my life and given me a new start. All the things I dreamed of achieving have now become more reachable and accessible.

What do you like best about your course?

This course offers me transferable skills and knowledge that match my career requirements; the knowledge and skills I will gain will enable me to become more confident in the administration field.

Does anything surprise you about your course or London Met?

What attracted me to London Met was the course profile and what surprises me is the fact that everything exactly matches to the description!

What do you like about life in London?

What I like the most is the sense of an international atmosphere where many people from different cultures, races and backgrounds interact with one another. This means that we not only learn about diversity in class but also during our interaction with other students.

What are your career plans once you complete your course?

I do have a current career but, gaining additional capabilities may lead to new responsibilities and challenges, so I'll seriously start thinking about international organisations.
