Shaun Turner

Shaun's background is in cabinet making, carpentry, joinery and the conservation and restoration of furniture and decorative arts, having trained for 6 years at The London College of Furniture (now The Cass).

Shaun has been working as Senior Furniture Conservator by 'Royal Collection Trust' for over 23 years. His role covers all aspects of decorative furniture and wooden artefacts for the Royal Residences including Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle, Balmoral, Sandringham, Kensington Palace and Osborne House. 

Recently, he was involved in the conservation and restoration of numerous important pieces for elaborate exhibitions held at the Queen's Gallery, Buckingham Palace throughout the year. 

Whilst thoroughly enjoying his full time job, he also gets immense fulfilment in teaching and assisting in making learning an enjoyable experience for the craftsmanship side of adult education. He has been teaching since 2001.
