Robert Urquhart

Robert Urquhart is a design and creative cultures writer who spends his time trying to get to see amazing work and meet interesting people. When he’s not writing, Robert is a lecturer in Design Management at UAL London College of Communication and Culture, Criticism and Curation at UAL Central St Martins.

Robert was a contributing editor to the international contemporary art and visual culture magazine Elephant (2015–2021) and his writing has featured in numerous publications, on a regular basis, for Grafik, Etapes, Communication Arts, Dazed & Confused, IdN and Computer Arts over the last 15 years. Robert won a D&AD award in 2012 for his editorial on education.

Before working as a writer and educator, Robert worked in children’s education TV, ran an art gallery, was part of a production team for music festivals and worked in research for broadcast production.
