Melissa is the International Foundation Programme Lead for ECA International College in London, UK. Melissa is a qualified lecturer who has over 20 years’ experience delivering English for Academic Purposes (EAP), business communication and life in the UK modules. In the UK, her work has involved teaching on pre-sessional, undergraduate and postgraduate courses on London-based campuses such as Roehampton University, Ulster University, Middlesex University, Northumbria University, QAHE and GBS. Her responsibilities range from material and course design, delivering EAP and business communication modules to module and course leadership. She has also worked abroad teaching languages and literature, and IELTS preparation in a number of schools, colleges and universities in Brazil and Italy.
Melissa holds an MA in Applied Linguistics with Birkbeck University and Online Learning Technologies in EAP with University of Sheffield. She is a Fellow of Higher Education and has supported colleagues in a number of institutions by delivering continuing professional development events as well as conducting staff observations as part of the teaching and learning role.
