Joseph Roberts

Joseph is the Curriculum and Assessment Lead at London Met International College.

Joseph has been teaching for more than 13 years, including in the UK and internationally (Greece, Italy, Turkey,and Saudi Arabia). He has specialised in EAP and ESAP (English for Specific Academic Purposes) since 2010 and worked in many further education and higher education settings, including INTO, King Faisal University, ITC Saudi Aramco, University of Manchester and University College London (UCL).

Joseph started his academic studies at King’s College London, where he gained a BA (Hons) in Classical Archaeology. Soon after, he completed a second undergraduate degree, with scholarship, in Performance (Acting), at the University of East Anglia (Mountview Academy). Working with Theatre in Education sparked his interest in teaching, which led to him acquiring certificates in TESOL and Cambridge Delta (postgraduate teaching diploma). Joseph also has an MA in Applied Linguistics and TESOL (University of Leicester), where he specialised in Testing and Assessment. Finally, Joseph is a registered English Language Cambridge Examiner and has been involved in the examination process for more than 10 years, including invigilation leader, standardisation trainer, rubric designer, exam preparation instructor, and test item writer and assessment designer.
