Jon has enjoyed a varied career over the last quarter of a century in treasury, corporate banking and structured lending.
After graduation he joined Rolls-Royce in Derby in the Corporate Treasury department executing RR’s foreign exchange and money-market transactions.
A move into banking soon followed at Hill Samuel & Co where he marketed the bank’s treasury services to UK and European Corporates. In 1985 he took a similar role at Westpac Banking Corporation briefly leading the team before taking a sabbatical at Cranfield School of Management in 1989.
He returned to Westpac and took up a banking role with international corporates followed by project finance. He honed his knowledge of capital market products at Banque Paribas and moved to Commerzbank in 1997 to head a team of relationship managers in the corporate banking unit.
In December 2005, Jon took up his current role in Burdale which is to develop relationships with clients and to raise the profile of the Asset-Based Lending product amongst end-users, corporate financiers, debt advisers and private equity sponsors.
Jon was educated at Aylesbury Grammar and Branston Schools and Imperial College London where he read physics. He graduated from the MBA programme at Cranfield in 1990 achieving a Courage Award of Distinction. He sits on a variety of influential committees and is a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of International Bankers.
He enjoys relaxing via motorcycling, rugby and science and technology.
