Almudena teaches Spanish to undergraduate and postgraduate students at the Open Language Programme and she is stage organiser for Spanish stages 1 and 4. She has developed Spanish Epacks, which are multimedia learning materials designed by London Met.
Almudena started her career as a teacher and teacher trainer at International House, London and she has taught Spanish at various higher education institutions in the UK. Her main interests are in developing language learning materials, distance/blended learning and the impact of digital technologies on language learning.

- RSA Diploma in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language (International House, London)
- Fellow of Higher Education Academy
