Alexandra is a HCPC registered counselling psychologist and a fellow of the British Psychological Society. She began her career working in the NHS in a Clinical Health Psychology Service and was responsible for evolving the first chronic pain multi disciplinary psychology service in Haringey. She has managed her own private psychology service in North London for over 12 years and works with a broad range of mental health presenting concerns. She is also a qualified BPS clinical supervisor. She began her teaching career at the University Of East London and has been part of the core clinical teaching team at London Metropolitan University Professional Doctorate In Counselling Psychology for over 10 years. She is also the Placements Co-ordinator for the Doctorate Programme, supporting and training clinical supervisors from a range of diverse clinical placement settings.
Alexandra is the Placements Co-ordinator for the Professional Doctorate In Counselling Psychology programme alongside being a senior lecturer for the programme. She is responsible for the clinical development of all trainees and liaises with off site clinical supervisors to ensure that London Met trainees are offering a high level of professional competence within their clinical settings. She also teaches clinical and reflective skills to Year One trainees and co-ordinates clinical supervision groups.
