More about Dr Membrillo Solis

Dr Membrillo Solis is a Lecturer in Data Analytics within the School of Computing and Digital Media. She obtained her PhD in Mathematics at the University of Southampton, where she is currently a Research Fellow in Topological Data Analysis. She also holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Master's degree in Chemistry from the National Autonomous University of Mexico where she worked as a lecturer for over six years.

Dr Ingrid Amaranta Membrillo Solis teaches data analysis and visualisation, machine learning and programming for data analysis. Her research interests lie in theoretical problems in algebraic topology, differential and metric geometry, and in the applications of topology and geometry to data analysis. Her areas of expertise include subjects like topological data analysis, unstable homotopy theory and differential and metric geometry of singular spaces.

She is also a keen reader, a self-taught painter and an amateur writer.
