Rosie Benson

Rosie Benson is a leadership, management and organisation development lead practitioner, a Chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), and holds a PGDip Human Resource Management and Consultancy. In addition, Rosie is a Certified Workplace Mediator, a Prosci Change Management Practitioner, a Strength Deployment Inventory Facilitator, a Certified Process Improvement Facilitator, and also has experience of service design, e-learning and has acted as a mentor. She is a member of the Organisational Development in HE network, and a member of the International Association of Workplace Bullying and Harassment.

Rosie set up the London Met Women’s Network and is a member of the Athena Swan Self Assessment Team and the Stonewall Self Assessment Group, and has also served as a panel member for the Race Equality Charter. In addition, she is a member of the AdvanceHE Aurora Champions network.  

Elected a staff governor on the London Metropolitan University Board in 2018, Rosie serves on the main board and on the Governance Committee, and has also served as a link governor to the London Met Students’ Union. Rosie is also a member of Women on Boards, and has served on the board of a primary school in Lewisham since 2011, and has been Chair since 2017. An outstanding school, during her tenure as Chair, the school has played a central role in the Local Authority in driving forward race equity and principles of social justice across the Borough. The school has become a Centre of Excellence for Inclusion; maintains a Gold standard commitment to the delivery of the Unicef Sustainable Development Goals and is a research hub with the Chartered College of Teaching, taking a lead in sharing research informed pedagogic practice across the Borough, London and nationally. 

Rosie’s early career was spent in hospitality and facilities management in industry, education and higher education, where she led on the achievement of the Investor in People and Hospitality Assured awards in two organisations.
