Academic entry requirements

Entry to:

Qualification 

Grade 

International Foundation Programme

One of the following qualifications:

Hoger Algemeen Voortgezet Onderwijs (HAVO).

 

Overall grade of 7.

 

Voorbereidend Wetenschappelijk Onderwijs (VWO).

Overall grade of 6.

 

Middelbaar Beroeps Onderwijs (MBO) level 3 (Vakopleiding).

Grade average of 7.

Undergraduate

One of the following qualifications:

Voorbereidend Wetenschappelijk Onderwijs eindexamen (VWO: Gymnasium A/B , Atheneum A/B).

Propaedeuse (1st year certificate) from the Hoger Beroeps Onderwijs (HBO).

Middelbaar Beroeps Onderwijs (MBO) level 4 (Middenkaderopleiding) in a relevant field.

 

 

 

Grade average of 7 or higher.

Extended Degree (four years)

Students who fall slightly below the standard requirements listed for Undergraduate entry may be considered for an available or appropriate Extended Degree Programme.

Postgraduate

Bachelor's (Honours) Degree.

Minimum 2:2 or above.

English and mathematics requirements

Mathematics 

(If applicable to course) 

Grade 6 in VWO eindexamen, or grade 7 in HAVO eindexamen.

English

Grade 8+ in English in VWO. For Masters, if three or more of their UG courses have been taught and assessed in English, and they have obtained at least a grade 7 or above in these courses

NON-EEA nationals (requiring a Tier 4 student Visa) must provide a Secured English Language Test (SELT) qualification to qualifiy for entry, such as Academic IELTS / Pearson PTE Academic.

Providing your qualifications

Please be sure you are able to provide copies of official certificates of any qualifications you have taken when you make your application (please do not send us your original certificates). If any of your certificates or supporting documents (transcripts) are in a non-English language you will need to provide certified English translations alongside any official copies.
