Assessment

The CIM assesses each Level 4 module either by examination or assignment at an organisation of your choice. There are three assessment periods each year in December, April and June/July.

Assessments are only available in English.

In order to gain the Certificate in Professional Marketing, you must achieve passes at the appropriate level for all modules.

There are some exemptions, which are available for individuals who have passed a relevant subject in an equivalent qualification. Please note, this must be at the same or a higher level and evidence of sufficient content match will be required.

Applications for exemptions are made on an individual basis, with further guidance available on the CIM website. The CIM will automatically arrange exemptions from previous CIM awards, where relevant, for individuals who are part way through the Level 4 Certificate in Professional Marketing. Please contact CIM directly to investigate this option.
