London Metropolitan University has been recognised by Cisco for providing the best delivery of the Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) curriculum in Europe. Our Cisco Academy is one of the very few places in the UK to have been certified by Cisco Systems to provide CCNP training. This course is designed for CCNA-qualified networking engineers.
We also offer a full-time study option for this course.
We offer part-time and weekend courses in computer networks and internetworking. These programmes are structured to teach you the skills needed to design, build and maintain computer networks, and enable successful candidates to take the Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA) and Cisco Certified Networking Professional (CCNP) examinations.
Cisco currently dominates the router market and networking professionals need to be familiar with Cisco technologies. Today's corporations depend on their information networks for mission-critical operations and are looking for highly-trained networking professionals to keep them up and running at maximum performance. Qualified networking experts are in short supply and they are therefore in high demand. There are currently more Cisco networking jobs available than professionals to fill them.
Please note, you will need a Windows-based PC or laptop with internet connection if you wish to study the material outside the University's premises.
The CCNP Enterprise Core and Advanced Routing curriculum helps you to prepare for the Cisco CCNP certification exams. The CCNP certification validates a network professional’s ability to install, configure and troubleshoot converged local and wide-area networks. The CCNP course offers a career development path for Cisco CCNA-certified network engineers and a solid foundation for those who are interested in the Cisco CCIE® certification.
There are two certifications:
You'll earn a Networking Academy badge for completing this course and you'll be prepared for implementing and operation of Cisco Enterprise Core Technologies and for the Cisco Enterprise Core Technologies exam (350-401 ENCOR) that earns an Enterprise Core Specialist Certification (an industrial certification).
The CCNP Enterprise Core course prepares you for the concentration exam, implementing Cisco Enterprise Advanced Routing and Services (300-410 ENARSI) which completes your CCNP Enterprise Industry certification.
You must have:
The CCNP Enterprise Core must be taken in following order: CCNP Enterprise Core and CCNP Enterprise Advanced Routing.
If you are an international student you will require a minimum English language qualification as detailed below (or equivalent):
You may also be eligible if you received high grades in English throughout your education or your education was undertaken in English.
The Britsh Council offers more information about how to take an IELTS exam (the preferred qualification).
The course fee covers a maximum of two assessments for any short courses. If you cannot pass the exam after the second attempt, you will have to take the course again. This could mean taking the whole course again or sitting an additional assessment. This will be decided by your instructor. There will be a fee for retaking the courses.
The training material for this qualification is covered by three individual courses of the Cisco Networking Academy Program (CNAP) over a period of approximately 12 weeks for the full-time course and 34 weeks for the part-time course. The CCNP Enterprise Core has been divided into Core one and Core two.
We deliver the CCNP Enterprise Core in three parts in order of completion, CCNP Enterprise Core one, CCNP Enterprise Core two and CCNP Enterprise Advanced Routing.
Ready to advance your skills and tackle complex network solutions? Technological advances enable new applications and businesses that connect everything; people, devices, machines and applications. With intent-based networking, organisations become more efficient. They take advantage of automation to scale and secure their networking infrastructure and ultimately their businesses.
Start your journey to earn the CCNP Enterprise Core certification. The course broadens your architectural understanding and deepens your implementation skills required by enterprise networks. The first course in the two-course CCNP Enterprise series covers switching, routing, wireless and related security topics, along with the technologies that support software-defined programmable networks.
CCNA or equivalent knowledge and skills are required.
Organisations across the globe are taking advantage of intent-based networking and automation to scale and secure their networking infrastructure and to transform their businesses. The good news is they need networking professionals to help them do it.
Finish your journey to earn the CCNP Enterprise certification. This second course in the two-course CCNP Enterprise series focuses on the implementation and troubleshooting of advanced routing and redistribution for Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP) and Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) along with VPN technologies, infrastructure security and management tools used in enterprise networks. CCNP Enterprise Core and skills are required.
