Continuation and the Transitions Framework

The Transitions Framework is a series of operational principles and guides set against the key phases in a new student’s transition to the University and to their course. The guidelines have been produced by the Fair Outcomes Task Force, which had a number of specialist sub-groups of academics and student services staff in partnership with students. The result is a targeted framework of activity, which aims to support student success and progression.

The Institution’s intervention work also falls under this framework and should be understood as activity which is specifically aimed at supporting at-risk students in order to improve continuation.
