Social Scientist – London Metropolitan University (1997 to present), Senior Lecturer, currently in School of Social Sciences, Faculty of Social Science and Humanities. Academic roles include postgraduate Course leadership, admissions and placement co-ordination in Social Research, Sociology and Social Policy. Research interests in Education Policy, Science Studies. Grants include ESRC, HEIF, EAZ, STEMNET London for related research, evaluation and development work.

A multi-disciplinary background in public policy review and development in local government and as social researcher and evaluation practitioner in the fields of Education, Information Studies and Science Studies – Senior Research Officer on British Library supported research for an Independent Research Institute (Aslib); Researcher in Unit for Social Studies of Science, University of Kent; Senior Officer experience in London public services on strategic development work in addition to Education policy research and research and information management responsibilities.

Other interests: including sports, membership of public bodies, governing bodies or charities and community interests.

Social Research Association (SRA), former Trustee/Director SRA Board, Chair Training Committee (2003-2010).

British Sociological Association (BSA) / British Education Research Association (BERA) / European Assn of Science Studies and Technology (EASST) - member.

Standards Committee (Independent appointee) – Lewisham Council (2003 to date).
