Dr Kathryn Castle is an elected representative of the Academic Board at London Metropolitan University.
She studied at Cornell University and University College London.
She is a recipient of the History of Education Book Prize for Britannia’s Children, and Arts and Humanities Research Council's (AHRB) research grants, and has worked on Freedom of Information requests/interviews in the United States for biography of J Edgar Hoover (1987-89).
She is also a Fellow (elected) of the Royal Historical Society and a member of the Society for Theatre Research. Her recreational interests include the arts, travelling and walking.
Special areas of interest at the University include quality control, teaching, the student experience, research and staff development.
