We work in partnership with individual staff and course teams to develop their practice and (re)design modules and courses, informed by the principles of the Education for Social Justice Framework and enhancing learning through technologies. Our provision includes our Learning and Teaching in Higher Education PGCert and MA courses, customised workshops and support sessions, as well as staff forums. We also run the University-wide Peer-Assisted Student Success (PASS) Scheme, where trained students act as role models to other students, providing course-based academic and personal support.
As part of our longstanding commitment to research-informed practice and the maintenance of a thriving research culture, we support staff with their action research into curriculum, pedagogy and practice. We offer dissemination opportunities via the Higher Education Research Group seminars, our annual Learning and Teaching Conference, our in-house, registered journal Investigations in University Teaching and Learning [ISSN 1740-106], and our educational development blog #Take5
