Data protection: how your data is processed

London Metropolitan University is offering free Covid-19 testing to all staff and students who do not have symptoms of the virus, in partnership with the NHS. The University is offering an online test booking service. To book your appointment, you will need to provide some personal information. The information you provide will be used to schedule your appointment. The information will be held securely and only for as long as necessary. If you have any queries about how your personal data will be used, you can contact the university’s Data Protection Officer.

Find out more about Covid testing and what it involved on our Keeping You Safe pages.

Your personal information relating to your registration and test results will be processed by NHS Test and Trace. The University will not have access to any of your registration data or test results.

As part of regular testing, you can also collect a rapid lateral flow test (LFD) to do at home. When you collect a rapid test to do at home, the university is required to collect your name and a contact telephone/mobile number. We have to provide this data to the NHS for product safety/recall purposes. The university only processes this data on behalf of the NHS and does not store it or use it for any other purpose.

Read the government's privacy notice about the NHS Test and Trace Service, for all users of the service.
