Mature and part-time students
Out of all the universities in the UK, we have one of the largest numbers of mature and part-time students on undergraduate courses.
We have considerable experience in meeting the needs of anyone who is 21 or over on entry, or who is looking for a course that works around other commitments.
Many of our courses start in both February and September (see individual course pages for further details). Because we run modular courses, you'll find that we can offer flexible timetables and part-time study opportunities to help you get the most from your course. We can also provide guidance on any financial support to which you may be entitled.

Entry requirements
If you do not have formal educational qualifications we will assess your relevant practical or personal experience alongside evidence of your commitment and ability to succeed in the course. See more about entry requirements.
Accelerate your studies
You may also be eligible for exemption from part of your chosen course on the basis of previous experience or study, which could enable you to shorten the length of your course by up to two thirds.
Returning to study
If you are returning to study you may feel the need for some support. We offer a range of short day and evening courses before the start of the year, including 'Return to Study' courses. Contact Admissions for more information on 020 7133 4200. We also run weekly drop-in workshops for all enrolled students, which provide study skills guidance, mathematics support and specialist dyslexia support.
For further advice and guidance
We hold regular drop-in advice sessions for anyone considering enrolling on a course, where you can talk to academic staff and student advisers, and tour the University. See our website for more information on our open days, open evenings and events.
