Overview

The Foundation Year is the first year of a four-year extended degree programme within the department. The course allows you to engage, explore and experiment within a diverse range of Art, Media and Design subjects. You will build up a portfolio of skills and experience sufficient to continue on to the department's undergraduate degree course that is most appropriate to your skills and aspirations.

Entry requirements

In addition to the University's standard entry requirements, the normal minimum qualifications are one A level and three GCSEs grade A to C (or equivalent). The Foundation Year encourages applications from students with diverse backgrounds and experiences.
