The Library holds one of the most significant archives on Women in the Media. This important collection of papers, books and videos documenting the work of pioneering campaigning groups is now available to the public.

Many leading journalists, broadcasters and film makers were involved with the group including Guardian woman's page editor, Mary Stott (pictured), whose papers are also held at the Library. Other key figures include Anna Ford, Shirley Conran, Jill Tweedie and Carmen Callil.

This event celebrates the work of the group featuring a panel of distinguished speakers including Anna Ford, Kira Cochrane and Mary Kenny who will debate the topic Feminism Forty Years On - do we still need it?
