Clean, to me, means constant hassle. A day with two small boys means constant blowing of noses, changing of nappies, wiping food off faces, changing of t-shirts. Running the washing machine daily (even twice) and praying that today won't be the day it breaks down. It's something people use to judge- a clean child is a well-cared for child- better than my permanently-messy, active, inquisitive children. In my house, clean is a swearword. |
