Professional Internships for Trainee Archivists

The Women's Library currently collaborates with the Department of Information Studies at University College, London to provide two two-week cataloguing internships annually for students undertaking an MA/Postgraduate Diploma/Certificate in Archives and Records Management.

If you are currently undertaking a postgraduate-level training course in Archives and Records Management, other than at UCL, and would like to be considered for a professional internship at The Women's Library, please send your CV together with a covering letter to The Women's Library, marked for the attention of The Archivist. Please note that these internships are unpaid.

General information about careers in archives and records management can be found on the website of the Archives & Records Association.

Professional Internships for Trainee Curators

The Women's Library collaborated with the Textile Conservation Centre at the University of Southampton to provide an annual internship for students undertaking a Masters degree in Museums & Galleries. Sadly, Southampton decided to close the TCC at the end of October 2009 and we are looking for another partner institution.

If you are currently undertaking a postgraduate-level training course in Museums Studies, and would like to be considered for a professional internship at The Women's Library, please send your CV together with a covering letter to The Women's Library, marked for the attention of Gail Cameron, Special Collections Curator. Please note that these internships are unpaid.

General information about careers in museums can be found on the website of the Museums Association.
