The Women's Library is located in Old Castle Street, next to London Metropolitan University's Calcutta House. It is well served by public transport and is in London Transport Zone 1.
Buses The following buses stop very near Old Castle Street on Whitechapel High Street, or at Aldgate bus station: 15, 25, 40, 42, 67, 78, 100, 115, 254 Bicycles There are racks outside The Women's Library and Calcutta House. Bicycles are left at the owner's risk. Tubes and Trains
Aldgate East (Hammersmith and City and District lines; 3 minute walk) Take the 'Toynbee Hall' exit. As you come out of the station, turn right and take the first right down Old Castle Street. The Women's Library is a large grey building half way down the street on your left.
Aldgate (Metropolitan and Circle lines; 5 minute walk) Turn left out of the station and use the pedestrian crossing to cross Middlesex Street. Continue straight into Whitechapel High Street. Old Castle Street is the second turning on your left.
Liverpool Street (Local and mainline rail, Central, Circle, Hammersmith and City, and Metropolitan lines; 10 minute walk) Exit into Bishopsgate using the escalators. Cross the road and turn left. Take the first right, into Middlesex Street, walk down, and turn left into Wentworth Street. Old Castle Street is the second turning on the right.
