Writing for the web

The simple ABC of writing for the web. If you only follow one set of rules when preparing your webpages, please let it be these and you won't go far wrong - absolutely essential!

Accuracy; ensure your pages are factually correct, up-to-date, correctly spelt and proof-read (by someone else!)

Brevity; be brief not long winded; 79% of people scan-read on the web, plus reading is 25% slower online

Clarity; keep text simple and clear (without dumbing down) by making use of headings and subheadings, short paragraphs, lists and space
