The current licence covers print to paper copying and digitisation of print materials to be held in Weblearn. Short term, full cost courses are not covered by the licence unless certain conditions are met and neither, under the terms of the EU Copyright Directive, is commercial copying. Up to date lists of which publishers are covered by the licence can be found on the CLA website Participating publishers - Higher Education. The University must own an original copy or a copyright fee paid copy - scanning a lecturer's personally owned original is not covered. It must be the most recent version of the publication. |

The amount permitted to be copied is restricted to whichever is the greater of:
You cannot scan two chapters from the same book for one module, even if you only put each of them in Weblearn at a different time in the module. |
