Finding Journals and Journal Articles

To find articles on particular topics in the journals collection, the best databases to use are Westlaw, Lexis Library and HeinOnline.

To link to a particular journal, use the Library Catalogue.

• For online access follow the instructions in the AVAILABLE ONLINE box to log on.
• There are a few Law journals which are only available in print. The catalogue will show you which years/ volumes we hold and at which site.
• At Calcutta House printed journals are on Floor 3. They are arranged alphabetically by title.
• All journals are for reference use only (you cannot borrow them).
  Tip: if you cannot work out the name of the journal because your reference is incomplete or abbreviated, use the Cardiff Law Abbreviations Guide to find the full title.

NB: The University's Copyright Licence only permits the copying of 1 article per journal issue. You must not photocopy or download more than 1 article per journal issue at a time.
