Videos, DVDs and Viewing Facilities

Calcutta House
  • Films/documentaries on video/DVD
    Videocassettes and DVDs of films, TV drama and documentaries are available for use and are shelved at the appropriate subject number in the library. Look for Films etc. on the Online Catalogue using Title search with the Videos/DVDs option selected, or by director - using Author search.

  • Viewing Facilities
    Combination televisions that play both videos and DVDs are situated on the third floor of the Library. Headphones and remote controls can be collected from the Media desk on the ground floor of the Library.

Holloway Road

  • Films on video/DVD
    Videocassettes and DVDs of films and TV drama are available for use. Look for Films on the Online Catalogue using Title search with the Videos/DVDs option selected, or by director - using Author search. They are shelved in alphabetical order by title at 791.437 [& 791.4372] in the Film Video area on the 2nd floor.

  • Counter Videos/DVDs
    Videos and DVDs which appear on the Catalogue as "Holloway Rd Counter" are titles on Film Studies and other Humanities reading lists. These can be borrowed from the Library Information desk.

  • Documentaries on video/DVD
    Look for Documentaries on the Online Catalogue using Keyword or Subject search with the Videos/DVDs option selected. They are shelved at the appropriate subject number in the main library.

  • Viewing Facilities
    Widescreen televisions with video and DVD playback are available on the 2nd floor. Bring your own headphones or borrow a pair from the Library Information desk on the ground floor.

Other Libraries
  • If a video or DVD is at another London Metropolitan University Library, provided the item is a One Week Loan, it can be reserved and will be sent over to another site library (please allow up to a week for arrival).
