An opportunity for you to find out more about the Materials and Products Collection and to explore the range of materials in the collection - glass, metals, ceramics, plastics, composites and more. Discover how the collection is organised, how to source materials, which books are useful for researching materials, and how to use materials database Materio - an invaluable resource if you know what properties you want a material to have but you're not sure what material to use. For example, if you're looking for a translucent, matte, flexible, sheet material, Materio will come up with a list of suggestions. The session will be repeated every day. You are welcome to come to any session. No need to book.

Margaret is a materials consultant who works with architects, designers and others to help them source materials for their design projects. If you aren't sure what material to use for your project or where to source it, Margaret can help. During the Materials Clinic, she will be offering individual appointments to students . You need to book in advance to secure your appointment. To make your booking, come to the Library Information Desk at Commercial Road or phone 020 73201867. When you come to see Margaret, it is helpful if you can bring along any sketches you have done relating to your project.
