    A search portal hosted by Cranfield University.
    Useful for aerospace and defense resources.

  • Aviation Week
    News on aviation, defense and business.

  • Aviation Training and Development
    Webpages of the Aviation Training company.
    Contains information on their courses - all CAA approved.

  • Department for Transport - Aviation
    Department of transport aviation pages. With information on the Government's aims for aviation along with a link to the white paper on "The Future of Air Transport".

  • Flyer
    Online magazine and web portal with good general information, news and forums.

  • Government Website Directory (UK)

  • ICAO Conventions and Annexes
    For information on International Conventions and Protocols, Annexes to the Convention on International Civil Aviation and Air Traffic Management.

Government Papers

  • Command Papers
    Also known informally as green and white papers. The term "Green Paper" has no formal definition. However, Green Papers generally put forward ideas and opinions for consideration, public discussion and consultation.

    The term "White Paper" has no formal definition. However, White Papers generally contain proposals and statements of Government Policy.

  • Internet Aviator
    A free "teach yourself" web tutorial that lets you practice your internet information skills.

    This is a free online service providing you with access to the very best web resources for education and research, evaluated and selected by a network of subject specialists.

  • World Fact Book
    Online version of the annual publication.
    Useful for specific country information.
