Part of the ISI Web of Knowledge database collection. Provides access to current bibliographic information (including abstracts) and cited references, covering more than 1,100 of the world's leading arts and humanities journals in a broad range of disciplines.

HIC provides full text of hundreds of journals, books and other published sources from around the world. It also includes all data from Humanities International Index, a comprehensive database covering journals, books and other important reference sources in the humanities, which provides citations and abstracts for articles, essays and reviews, as well as original creative works including poems, fiction, photographs, paintings and illustrations. Humanities International Complete is an invaluable resource for students, researchers and educators interested in all aspects of the humanities.
- International Bibliography of the Social Sciences
One of the largest and most comprehensive social science databases in the world with access to over 2 million records. Current data is taken from over 2800 international social science journals and around 7000 books per year. Abstracts are available for up to 60% of current journals covered.
- Literature Online [full text]
A fully searchable library, providing the full-text of more than 349,000 works of English and American poetry, drama and prose, plus biographies, bibliographies and key criticism and reference resources. Secondary resources include ABELL, (the MHRA's Annual bibliography of English Language and Literature) which has links to the full text of over 100 journals. There are also links to literary resources on the web.

Digital archive of core scholarly journals starting with the very first issues. Subjects covered include Economics, Finance, History, Literature, Philosophy, Political Science, Population Studies, and Sociology. Back runs only. For the most recent three to five years you will need to use other services. Allows you to search by subject, or browse individual issues.
- MLA International Bibliography
MLA Bibliography, the fundamental research tool for the humanities, covers international scholarly materials on language, literature, linguistics, and folklore. With coverage since 1963, this also includes the MLA Directory of Periodicals. This comprehensive database includes over 1.4 million citations from over 3,000 journals and series published worldwide, as well as monographs, working papers and conference proceedings.
- ZETOC
The ZETOC service provides access to the British Library's Electronic Table of Contents (ETOC). The database contains details of approximately 20,000 current journals and 16,000 conference proceedings published per year. With almost 15 million article and conference records, the database covers many subject areas in science, technology, medicine, engineering, business, law, finance, the humanities and social sciences. |
