- Department of Business Innovation and Skills
BIS is the government department responsible for business, trade & industry, enterprise & innovation, Higher & Further Education, science, employees and consumers. The department says its role is to build Britain’s capabilities to compete in the global economy, boost productivity and keep the UK competitive and an attractive place to do business.
- Government Equalities Office
The Government Equalites Office is the department responsible for equalities legislation and policy in the UK. The website contains a section on the Equality Act 2010.
- Health & Safety Executive
The Health and Safety Commission is responsible for health and safety regulation in Great Britain.

- EUR-Lex
EU legal texts including treaties, legislation, case law and policy documentation.
- European Commission External Trade
The web site of the Directorate General for Trade of the European Commission gives information about EU trade policies and practice. The information centre available on the site allows you to search for statistics, legislation and relevant documents.
- CURIA
Case law of the courts of the EU, including the European Court of Justice and Court of First Instance.
- Europa
Official EU site, linking to information and documentation on EU activities and institutions.
- European e-Justice Portal
Businesses section contains information on companies, business registers and insolvency in the EU member states. Legal Practitioners section includes information about EU law.

An Internet resource site focusing on the legal issues of International trade and commerce, developed by the Institute for International Business Law, University of Muenster, Germany.
- International Centre for Trade and Sustainable Development
ICTSD was established in Geneva in September 1996 to contribute to a better understanding of development and environment concerns in the context of international trade.
- Lex Mercatoria
This site offers lots of information on topics such as; International Economic Law, International Tax & Financial Regulation, Private International Commercial Law and Intellectual Property Law.
- United Nations Commission on International Trade Law
UNCITRAL is a subsidiary body of the General Assembly of the United Nations with the general mandate to further the progressive harmonization and unification of the law of international trade.
- World Bank
The World Bank is an important source of financial and technical assistance to developing countries around the world.
- World Intellectual Property Organization
WIPO is a specialized agency of the United Nations. It is dedicated to developing a balanced and accessible international intellectual property (IP) system.
- World Trade Law
This site was set up as a research tool for people interested in international trade law issues.
- World Trade Organization
WTO is the only global international organization dealing with the rules of trade between nations. The WTO agreements are negotiated and signed by the bulk of the world’s trading nations and ratified in their parliaments. The goal is to help producers of goods and services, exporters, and importers conduct their business.

- Employment Tribunals
Employment Tribunals are judicial bodies established to resolve disputes between employers and employees over employment rights. The website provides information about the tribunal's procedures.
- Equality and Human Rights Commission
Organisation that deals with enforcing and promoting equality related to age, disability, gender, race, religion and belief and sexual orientation.
- International Business Law Consortium
IBLC is a membership organisation of law and accountancy firms which forms part of the Center for International Legal Studies in Austria. The IBLC is concerned with research and publishing and provides information to members on developments in international business law.
- Financial Services Authority (FSA)
FSA site with news, publications list and access to central register of firms authorised to carry on investment business in the UK. Free to search but requires registration.
- Law Society
The Law Society is the regulatory and representative body for solicitors in England and Wales.

- Bullying at Work
Web site that discusses bullying at work and the different legislation around the world.
- Companies House
Searchable database of over a million registered companies. Basic company information is free. Company forms and guidance booklets.
- Company Law Club
Gateway to company law with free registration. Database of company law topics, Companies House forms to download, newsletter and bulletin board, and links to related websites.
- Eye on International Business Law
An Internet resource site focusing on the legal issues of International trade and commerce, developed by the Institute for International Business Law, University of Muenster, Germany.
- Intute: Law
This is a free gateway to quality internet resources for law. There is a useful description of each service to which it offers a link and is constantly updated by subject experts. You can search or browse within your specific area of interest, and sign up for free email alerts and newsfeeds.
- Just Cite
A database allowing you to search for citations of law reports and legislation from the UK and EU. Many of the references have links to the full text via Westlaw or Lexis.

- Internet Detective
A free online tutorial that will help you develop Internet research skills for your university and college work. The tutorial looks at the critical thinking required when using the Internet for research and offers practical advice on evaluating the quality of websites.
- Virtual Training Suite
A free, "teach yourself" tutorial that lets you practice your Internet Information Skills. Aimed at Business Students, this gives a good grounding in basic skills.
