  • Association of British Insurers (ABI)
    ABI is the trade association for insurance companies and represents a large part of the UK insurance company market. Contains information about the association, membership details, press releases and information sheets for consumers on types of insurance.

  • Bank Administration Institute
    Professional organisation devoted to improving the competitive position of financial services companies through education and research.

  • British Bankers Association
    The British Bankers' Association (BBA) is the principal trade association for banks operating in the UK. It is a leading representative body in the financial services sector and has 218 members, as well as many associate members, which fund its not-for-profit activities. Also a source for banking statistics.

  • Building Societies Association
    The Building Societies Association (BSA) represents mutual lenders and deposit takers across the UK, including all UK building societies.

  • Chartered Institute of Bankers in Scotland
    The oldest banking Institute in the world, the Institute is Scotland's leading provider of Professional Qualifications to the financial services sector.

  • The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII)
    CII is the professional body for the insurance and financial services industry. It has a membership of over 70,000, principally drawn from the UK, but with members from all across the world.
    The CII promote training and development opportunities for its members with substantial information about career possibilities available from the site. The News section provides updates on developments.

  • Institute of Bankers in Ireland
    Professional and educational body for people working in the banking and financial services sector in Ireland.

  • Insurance Institute of London
    The Insurance Institute of London was established in 1907 with the following aims: "the cultivation of knowledge and information in all matters relating to the various branches of insurance". There are currently 12,500 members of the Institute.

  • Irish Bank Officials Association
    IBOA is the leading trade union representing staff in Ireland's banking and finance industry.

  • Committee of European Banking Supervisors
    Advises the European Commission on banking policy issues and promotes convergence of supervisory practice across European Union.

  • European Banking Federation
    Set up in 1960, the FBE is the voice of the European banking sector. It represents the interests of over 4500 European banks from 29 national Banking Associations.

  • European Payments Council
    The EPC is the decision-making and coordination body of the European banking industry in relation to payments.

  • American Bankers Association
    Founded in 1875 and now based in Washington, DC, the American Bankers Association represents banks of all sizes on issues of national importance for financial institutions and their customers.

  • Arab Bankers Association
    Seeks to develop ties between Arab professionals working in the financial services sector as well as to encourage the exchange of views, information and expertise between the banking and financial sectors in the Arab world, and their counterparts in the United Kingdom and other countries.

  • Bankers' Association of Finance and Trade
    The Bankers' Association for Finance and Trade is a financial trade association whose membership represents a broad range of internationally active financial institutions and companies that provide important services to the global financial community.

  • Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (IIABA)
    IIABA is a national alliance of 300,000 business owners and their employees who offer all types of insurance and financial services products.

  • Institute of International Bankers
    The Institute is the only association devoted exclusively to representing and advancing the interests of the international banking community in the United States. Its membership is comprised of approximately 150 banking organizations that have their headquarters in 50 other countries around the world.

  • Insurance Bureau of Canada (IBC)
    is the national trade association of non-government property and casualty (P&C) insurers, the private companies that insure the cars, homes and businesses of Canadians. Member insurance companies provide about 90% of the home, car and business insurance sold in Canada.

  • Insurance Information Institute, US
    The Insurance Information Institute provides information on the property/casualty insurance industry in the US. As well as providing a searchable catalogue of their publications and the full text of their consumer brochures, there is a summary and commentary on the recent financial results for the US property/casualty insurance industry.

  • International Banking Federation
    The banking associations of Europe, the United States, Australia and Canada have joined forces to establish the IBF. The body will be the key international forum to address legislative, regulatory and other issues where there is a common interest and where it affects the banking industry globally.

  • International Cooperative Banking Association
    The ICBA was set up in 1922 by national co-operative banks to exchange information and to promote co-operation among co-operative banks.

  • National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC)
    NAIC is the organization of insurance regulators for the United States. The site provides a list of insurance regulators by state, with links to regulator's homepages.
    There is information on the workings of the NAIC committee; information on the current and potential use of information technology and the Internet for regulating insurance; and a number of papers produced by NAIC.
    There is also a products and publications catalogue and abstracts of the Journal of Insurance Regulation, published by NAIC.

  • National Association of Insurance Women International (NAIW)
    Dedicated to helping women succeed in the insurance industry.
