Welcome to London Metropolitan University Libraries. Get to know your way around our libraries over the next few weeks. It will save a lot of time, especially when you are in a rush to complete an assignment later in the month.

Our Library website provides lots of information about our services and facilities, including opening hours and borrowing information.

Where’s my nearest library?

We have five site libraries; three in City campus and two in North campus. Use the links below to find your closest library, along with opening times and travel information.

 
Do I need another card to use the Library?
No, your London MET ID card is also your library card.

Do I need to register with the Library?
No, you are automatically registered once you have enrolled on a course.

Where can I find HELP if needed?
Library Staff can help you. Go to the Information desk at your library. Alternatively there is lots of information on the library website: www.londonmet.ac.uk/library. Also get to know who your Academic Liaison Librarian is as they can help with any related subject enquiries, especially for assignments.

I have got my reading list and need to find books. Where do I start?
Have a look at “Finding Books on your Reading List” or ask for help at the Information desk. The Library’s collections can be searched through the online catalogue.

I have found the books I need, what next?
Borrow and return your books by using the self-service machines. Follow the instructions on the screen. Wait for the receipt, which tells you when your books are due back.

How do I keep a check on all the books I have borrowed?
You have a unique library account called, “MY ACCOUNT”. Check your account to remind you of the books you have borrowed and when they have to be returned. Renew any books on loan. To login to “MY ACCOUNT” use your London Met ID and PW. To access your account, go to the library catalogue.

Library Training
