The Libraries provide a wide range of feature films, animation, art & design documentaries, TV broadcasts and video artworks. Audio recordings of include art documentaries, music and sound effects. Library Catalogue searches can be limited to 'Videos/DVDs or Audio'.

British Library Sounds
Arts, literature, music, oral history, sound recording history. Fully searchable e.g. by type of musical instrument recorded.

British Universities Film and Video Council (BUFVC) This new resource is in Beta. BUFVC hosts, curates and delivers 9 substantial online databases relating to film, television and radio content dating from 1896 onwards

JISC Media Hub
A multimedia platform with digital image, film and sound collections accessible from a single interface. Access to free-at-the-point-of-use content, licensed for educational and research use. An interactive demonstration is available

NewsFilm Online
Access to over 3,000 hours of downloadable television news and cinema newsreels, selected from the ITN/Reuters Television archives.

British Film Institute collection. Non-fiction film and TV programmes telling the social, economic and political history of Britain

An archive of 90,000 pieces of newsreel footage, cultural, political and social history documentaries from 1896 to 1976. Including world fairs and exhibitions.
