SCONUL Access is a scheme which allows many university library users to borrow or use books and journals at other libraries which belong to the scheme, The scheme covers most of the university libraries in the UK and Ireland. If you are:

If you have a current SCONUL Access card or approval email from your home institution you may use the main three week and one week loan collections. There is no general access to IT facilities for external readers but if your home library uses Eduroam, you should be able to access your institution’s e-resources via the Eduroam wi-fi system. Check the list here and contact the IT staff at your home institution in case of difficulty. |
| Vacation access to other higher education libraries |

Undergraduate students and postgraduate students following taught courses at UK colleges of higher education or UK or Irish universities will normally be granted reference use of other higher education libraries free of charge during the vacations of the host institution. |
