Working together
London Metropolitan University is committed to reducing our carbon footprint by 33% of 2009 levels by the end of 2014 and 46% by 2020. This is in part due to our membership of the HECM 6 Programme. We are working hard to achieve this, but we need your help.
We would like everyone to take at least one action: whether it is turning lights off, adjusting thermostats or cycling to work and lectures. These pages give you information on what we are doing, how you can help and how you can save money at home. Please do get in contact with any ideas or suggestions you have.
So what’s in it for me?
Money – follow the Energy Saving Tips and save some money.
Comfort - overly warm workplaces, flickering lights or bad use of daylight aren’t good for work or study, they are also signs of inefficient energy use.
A Happy Feeling – knowing you have helped to do your bit.
The little things you do stack up to make a big difference.
