Undergraduate Curriculum Framework

Background

Following the publication of the final report of the Review of Undergraduate Education (RUGE) and its recommendations, an Undergraduate Curriculum Framework (UCF) was developed.  In May a validation panel was convened to advise on and approve the new Framework.  The validation report and its recommendations can be accessed here.

Following the validation event, the Principals of the Undergraduate Framework document was made available to the University community in July 2011 and that the validation of all undergraduate courses has now been scheduled to take place between September and December.

As recommended by the RUGE, the implementation of the new credit architecture, teaching pattern and teaching contact time will be come into effect for all three levels (4, 5 and 6) from September 2012.
