The Teams
The Estates Department at London Metropolitan University consists of four main teams:
Campus Services
Runs the University's buildings and operates retail outlets and entertainment venues within the estate.
Core functions: Student Entertainment, Bars, Retail Services, Catering, Hospitality, Conferences, Commercial Hire, Print/Reprographics, Campus Operations, Sports and Recreation Services.
Estates Development
Manages major projects including developing new buildings and facilities throughout both campuses, as well as larger redevelopment and refurbishment works in existing buildings.
Core functions: New Build and Major Refurbishment Projects, Liaison with Landlords and Tenants.
Estates Planning
Plans the use of the University's various buildings and facilities as well as providing supporting functions to the rest of the Estates Department.
Core functions: Timetabling, Room Bookings, Space Allocation, Estates Systems, Estates Strategic Planning, Staff Moves, Space Planning, Drawing and Building Plans.
Facilities Management
Maintains the University's buildings and the many facilities and systems operating within them; also responsible for progressively reducing the environmental impact of buildings and increasing thier energy efficiency.
Core functions: Maintenance of Existing Buildings and Minor Refurbishment Works, Energy Efficiency, Estates Health & Safety, Statutory Compliance.
